PORN

Good news ! For those of us who love to switch on our computers and maybe, not straight away or all the time, but quite often switch to your favourite adult websites. Porn has become as common on the web as main stream movies or the news. The range of porn or adult content sites has reached huge proportions. How many are out there ? Now days half the dating sites are very, very adult related.

Porn sites get a lot of  bad publicity, but are they all that bad, some are very explicit and they do deserve all the criticism they get. Sex was a taboo subject in the past, but now with ease of access via the internet and sex shops it is no longer a subject we do not talk about, as evidence  proves most couples who do enjoy watching some porn, all state that it does improve their personal sex lives, adding that bit more interest to the bedroom. The use of sex toys has also gained popularity with young single ladies and also married women who are happy to try them.

Sex has always been around, but kept hidden in privacy behind locked doors, although as we learn more and more about our past history, it is evident that our ancestors were into sex way back then. Sketches on flakes of limestone from ancient Egypt depicting sex acts between man and woman.  Ruins in Pompeii revealed graffiti scrawled on the walls depicting erotic material such as poetry and drawings of very explicit sexual acts. Shops and brothels in ancient Rome hung images of a large penis on their walls for good luck accompanied by the words “ here lies happiness” Modern movies such as Caligula have tried to show what Roman sexuality was all about. In the middle ages the Church dictated how people viewed sex and enforced their opinions with strict laws, sometimes resulting in the execution of  offenders who broke the rules by committing adultery or having sex in any other way other than missionary position and only with their marriage partner.

Today we seem to have a far more relaxed attitude towards sex. Schools now have sex education that explains in detail what would have been absolutely forbidden to even talk about 50 years ago. Adult magazines are freely available in stores, porn movies can be easily bought in sex stores and on the net. While porn should not be available in supermarkets for children to see, it is now a part of everyday life and we will have to make the most of it. Happy viewing.
