Pay Per Click Advertising

Pay per click or ppc advertising is a simple type advertising in which you pay the bid amount everytime the search engine directs a visitor to your site. The good thing about this type of advertising is that the visitors are interested in your site and therefore are most likely to buy your products.

PPC is simply bidding for a keyword and your company paying the bid amount per visitor. The downside is you are in a bidding war. If you want to stay on top, the more you must pay or bid to stay there. Be aware that the most popular keywords are obviously the keyword everyone wants and can become very expensive. It is good business to know what your return on visitors or conversions is, so you can budget on what you pay per click, in other words it is simply profit divided by visitors.

On of the first things you should do is learn all you can about search engines, how they work and what are the best keywords or phrases to bid on to get the best return on your investment. Very popular keywords can become very expensive.
