Everyone who has used the internet has seen those little icons, that look like kids drawings, at the bottom of some website – ” bookmark it “. What exactly does that mean.

Bookmarking is a way you can save your favorite site or that site that you discovered when doing a bit of surfing. It is also a way you can tag a site that you think your friends should check out. Bookmarks can be managed also. In other words you can divide it into files or folders, this is a great help when it comes to finding the site again.

Every time you take a look, bookmarking sites seem to be breeding like rabbits, I am not sure how many sites there are now, but at last count I found 50 major bookmarking sites. For webmasters it can help get a lot of back links, increase your traffic and best of all it’s free.
